The Archives of the New York Philharmonic has nearly every printed program ever performed by the Orchestra anywhere in the world back to 1842. However, we are missing a few and one of them is from 4/11/1921 at the Athenaeum in New Orleans.
We are hoping that either your collection has the printed program from that date or that you might be able to tell us where we might find it. If you do have the program, we are hoping that you will provide the Archives with scans or color copies. Image files (TIF) are preferred over PDFs.
Our long-term plan is to make the entire collection freely available online. We have completed digitizing 1.3 million pages and have started on the next 1.5 million. If you would like to see what’s currently available, please visit the New York Philharmonic Leon Levy Digital Archives at http://archives.nyphil.org.
Please let us know if we can provide additional information about the concert or answer any other questions.
With sincere thanks,
New York Philharmonic Archives
